Mick Lerner, a native Kansas Citian, has been practicing in the Greater Kansas City area for 39 years, 24 of which were with a major Kansas City law firm, and 15 of which were in his own firm in Overland Park, Kansas. He brings to this firm a wealth of experience in a broad range of cases, from national class action antitrust to Medicare fraud and personal injury. He filed the lawsuit that resulted in the largest U.S. False Claims Act settlement in history. He has handled lawsuits in over 27 states. He is a member of the Missouri and Kansas bars, as well as the bars of many federal district courts throughout the United States, the Fifth, Sixth, Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He leads the firm's growing corporate litigation department.

Among other clients, he has represented major manufacturers who distributed products on a national and international basis. He has been involved in Federal Multidistrict Litigation, and has tried a large number of cases to juries around the country, representing plaintiffs as well as defendants.

He graduated from Stanford University, and obtained his law degree from Boston University, where he was an editor of the law review. He was also an officer in the U.S. Army, serving on the special staff of the Commanding General of the 7th Infantry Division in Korea.

In addition to his busy practice, he recently served two terms on the national board of the American Inns of Court, as Trustee for the Tenth Circuit, representing judges and lawyers who are Inns of Court members in the eight states which comprise the Tenth Federal Judicial Circuit.

Lerner has held leadership positions in the Kansas City Area Development Council, the Overland Park Economic Development Council, the Earl E. O'Connor American Inn of Court, the American Cancer Society, and the Overland Park Rotary Club Foundation.
