John was born and raised in the Kansas City area. After graduating from the University of Kansas in 2004 with a bachelor of arts in History, John moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. John received several awards for academic excellence in law school and graduated cum laude in 2007. While in law school, John was an Articles & Symposia Editor for the UMKC Law Review, a staff member on The Urban Lawyer, a member of both the UMKC National Moot Court and ABA National Moot Court teams, and was admitted to the Order of Barristers. He also served as a research assistant to Professor Robert Klonoff and provided research assistance in the area of appellate procedure.

John has litigation experience in both state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas. John primarily focuses in the areas of medical malpractice defense and commercial litigation.

John is married and lives in Overland Park, Kansas.
